Smartphones Rule!!!

Love how I can update my blog while sitting on the can at work.

Juicing Works!

This is my juicing video. So far, since mid December, I've lost 19 pounds.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXXKvJ_ZcwM Lately, I've just been eating fruits and vegetables, and cutting back on the salt. It's been working. I've lost the most weight I've lost since getting sick from my uterine artery embolization almost five years ago. And if you are struggling with weight, try this. Weigh yourself, then for at least a week, avoid canned goods, processed lunch meat and bacon. Don't put ANY salt on anything. Then, after a week weigh yourself. You just might be surprised.

I've Lost 19 Pounds

I'm finally seeing some results. And that's a good thing.

Fat Acceptance...or Not

I'm not sure how I feel about the fat acceptance movement going on. On one hand, I understand that not everyone can be a size two. There are women who are solidly built, and are tall (for women). On the other hand, size 28 (and larger) women seem to be everywhere. Maybe in coastal cities, and certain urban areas, you don't see it as much. But in Indiana, particularly Fort Wayne, you see a lot of huge women, and men. I know the battle of the bulge well. I've been fat since I was 22, which was a long time ago. My metabolism seemed to shut down. I was eating the same sort of stuff that I normally ate, but the thing was, I wasn't 15 anymore. Not that I exercised a lot as a kid, but I swear to you, I could eat anything I wanted and not really gain. Seemed like a normal everyday thing then, I'd kill to have that now. I never realized that it would end. I never realized I'd inherit my mother's torso, and the tendency (from both parents) to gain weight. After my

Where the h*** is Malaysia flight 370? ??

Obsessed with Malaysia flight 370 which disappeared a week ago. I think it was stolen, or is a the bottom of the ocean far away from where they are searching.  It's almost like an action adventure flick.  If they do find it and there are survivors,  what an amazing story it will make.

Skiing Again

Skiing again at Bitte www.skibittersweet.com rsweet. Had a lot fun. Tried two new rush and didn't fall!

Thanks For Nothing, Wendy's

Went to lunch today at Wendy's. Found out they are NOT going to have the BLT Chicken Cobb salad anymore. That was delicious! An assortment of greens, cheese egg, a strip or two of bacon, and a small hill of chicken, either grilled or crispy. I had an Apple Pecan salad with crispy chicken, and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I wanted.

Downtown on the Square

Image
Downtown on the Square is a cute little restaurant/bar in downtown Columbia City, Indiana. The restaurant has booths with huge tables. The overall decor is neutral, with photos of Columbia City landmarks. I had prime rib and it was delicious. For an appetizer, I had chips and salsa. The chips were unusual; they had some sort of spice on them. I had lemonade to drink and it was very good; sweet with a little bit of tartness.  Entrees run between $10 and $30. It's open until 10 p.m. on weeknights. The address is 111 South Main Street, Columbia City, Indiana. Phone them at 260-244.4011. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. Friday and Saturday, it's open until 11 p.m. and Sunday it's open until 9 p.m.  It seemed like a casual restaurant, but seemingly a bit more elegant than your usual downtown diner. But I liked the decor very much. A picture of the bar at Downtown on the Square. The menu! The sign! This was taken on the courthouse side of the st

First World Problems...

I think I left my USB phone charger cord at work. How stupid. It wasn't the cheap one I bought at Meijer's but the one that transfers pictures and music and stuff. I guess if the damn phone held a fucking charge as well as my flip phone, I could keep it on for 24 hours straight and not have to plug in the damn thing.
